This is how quickly the world is changing

Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the past 3 years, you’ve probably noticed

that the pace of change is really very much faster than what it ever has been.

This is a global phenomena – but what does it mean?

It means it’s more important than ever to have quiet time.

Time to think

Time to be with your family.

Time to turn off the cell phone, MSN, Skype, all

those things that demand your attention.

Learn to be in the moment.

Enjoy the company of those that your with.

It’s becoming a lost art – but if we all make the effort

to slow down, enjoy and connect – its easier now to be clear on

whats important – now.

@thedudewhohatesu If we launched 1/35 of the worlds nuclear stockpile, earth wouldn’t exist anymore. Half of all nuclear bombs could shatter earth to dust 16 times over.

I want that fiber optic cable. In 2004, I needed like 100 of them to extract 6gb a second, now ONE can push through thousand times more :S

@sarahmhmyeah you know your facts but the crazy thing is did you know that california alone has enough food to feed everyone on the planet it’s crazy so my question why are there still hungry people in the world it’s sad

@RonPaul2008dotcomluv true true

@sarahmhmyeah also I live in california and I agree here in the us we waste too much resources which is inconciderate of this country I may live here but I see through the wrongs that we do as a country sometimes and it breaks my heart but yes if we shared resources this world would be a lot better off

this is very interesting

half a million words? I only hear americans say “OMG” and “Like” all the time. If there is an American out there that can speak 10 sentences in a row without using the word “like”, he’s got my vote ;) But George Orwell predicted that shit a long time ago. New speak, will make it harder for citizens to communicate with each other in a proper way!

great video! loved it!!

The population of India is like 1,147,995,904 ok…. the US pop is like 309,162,581. 25% of the Indian population is 286,998,976…. point being I’m sure if the US had a ginormous pop of over a billion people we would more than likely be able to compete with this. The 25% of pop thing is bogus because…. well they have over a billion people.

13 jeff19872011 { 05.24.10 at 2:17 am }

@jeff19872011 The more people a nation has the morre people that are likely to be at a “genious” level. It’s basic genetics the more you produce the more likely you are to have well developed offspring. And if you’re going to sit there and bitch about the US and you live here and that’s all you do is bitch…. you’re not accomplishing anything. Do something about it!

14 HopeForPeaceNow { 05.30.10 at 8:19 pm }

20% of Amerians own 93% of American wealth.

Problem is the Austrian Economics answer to that is… leave them alone with all the power, give them no rules and no supervision. The ARE no natural business cycles in a system built, owned and run by the same people who own 93% of it.
Bet you missed that part.

15 HopeForPeaceNow { 05.30.10 at 8:24 pm }

Also, when future generations wither and die on a planet that can no longer sustain them…. I hope they blame you and all those like you who deny mans impact on earth.

In California this year there’s a measure on the ballot that REMOVES all limits for carbon emissions until unemployment reaches 5%. Bet you support that.

Betting on no God, are you?

@yadidimeanmaine Who’s to say what Earth’s supposed balance is? The only reference point you have is from human observation which is inherently biased based upon the species’ instinctual drive to propagate one’s DNA. The Earth can adjust to a new paradigm: one without humans or rainforests. It’s all just another cycle. And the planet is indifferent to what we deem “good” or “bad………
that was very well said, one of the best statement I have read on youtube… nice!

4:14 interesting fact……. $1000 won’t be a lot of money in 2049

18 noxure { 06.11.10 at 5:44 am }

@masterwow That’s just stupid. For one thing: you can more efficiently just turn sugar into bio-ethanol, which is already done on a large scale in Brazil.
And guess what? It doesn’t solve anything, because you will need about the entire surface of the earth if you want to replace fossil-fuel with bio-fuel.

Don’t believe the lies from the bio-tech industry, most of it is just a scam to make money and they don’t give a shit about the environment or the energy problem.

19 deathmuncher { 06.12.10 at 5:41 pm }

I have always liked this video. Very “mind – opening.” ;P
These numbers are fascinating but, like all facts, they can be manipulated.
I suggest anyone interested in this video conduct more research in other places.
You might be surprised by some of the numbers you find.

20 SmileyJet { 06.13.10 at 12:24 pm }

@B0rnAl0neDieAl0ne they probly meant $1000 in today’s world

watch this…

watch#!v=F-QA2rkpBSY

this talks about the doubling time, the exponential function,

it’s a little dry, but if you are somewhat intelligent and have an open mind, and you do the math afterward, you are going to be in for a surprise.

23 thejlx { 06.21.10 at 6:15 am }

@masterwow actually there is bacteria that produce Octane to basically gas lol
AND mushroom mycelium that can eat oil spills in a very short time and not only remove the bad shit but also improve already existing ground.
check paul staments vids on that for more info. (not sure i got that name right thou)

24 iguanabomb { 06.24.10 at 1:43 am }
